Week 1 lesson (all grades)

Hello Northwest Families!
I hope everyone is doing well!

Here is our physical education activity for week 1

Activity: Win It In A Minute!

How to Play: I will give you one minute to do each skill (in the video below) as many times as you can. You can try to beat your personal best or you can try to beat our (myself and my 2 daughters) numbers!

For our Bk-2nd grade students here are a few alternate challenges to the ones in the video

Instead of catching the ball behind your back: try to throw and catch the ball sitting on your knees

Instead of bouncing off elbow and catching: try putting it on the back of your hand, throw it up and catch it

Materials needed: one rolled up sock or small ball.

Set Up:
1) A place to throw a sock/ ball up into the air.

2) You will need an area as wide as 2 of you lying down on the ground (head to toe). Place an object at each end.

3) Lastly you will need a wall that you can throw your sock/ ball up to, and catch it when it comes back.

Remember, if you do your best you have already won!
