Hello Northwest families!
For the past few months students in grades Bk-5 students have been working on various aspects of gymnastics. Skills that were covered were: balancing, leaping, jumping, rolling, transfer of weight, supporting body weight and building muscle by using one own body weight.
Students in lower elementary have also covered locomotor movements, hand eye coordination, personal space, shoe lace kicking and throwing and catching!
Hello Northwest families,
I want to take a moment to
thank the families of Northwest, our amazing PTO, Mr. Munro, the staff of
Northwest and all those who helped to make our rock wall happen!!! Your hard
work and donations that ultimately led to us being able to purchase our amazing
climbing wall is so greatly appreciated!!! Today was the first day our
students had an opportunity to use the wall and the response was amazing! The kids
talked about how fun the wall is, how hard it actually was to climb, how tired
they were and that they wanted to do it every day for the remainder of the
year! Thank you for all you do for our students and the support you give!
