Second Quarter Grades 3-5

   Hello Northwest families!!!

For the second quarter of this year we have begun our basketball unit! We are covering the following skills: hand dribbling, passing, shooting and stealing and protecting. We are also covering games such as lightning, pig, around the world and half court games!!! Please encourage your child to work on these skills in the coming months!!! Thank you NW families!!!

  Hello Northwest families!!!

For the second quarter of this year we have started working on underhand throwing, jump roping, balancing, jumping, leaping and landing, hula hooping and shoe lace kicking. Parents and guardians are encouraged to continue to work on these skills with their students!

We have had an amazing start to our 2021/2022 school year! Skills and topics we have covered so far are: personal space, locomotor movements, underhand rolling, teamwork and we have discussed building muscle and heart strength through play!!! Please continue to encourage your child to stay active and continue to improve on their fitness!!!

First Quarter Grades 3-5

 Hello Northwest families!!!

Our year has been a blast so far!!!

We have spent our time working on all skills associated with soccer and then we transferred those skills into soccer games!!! We covered foot dribbling, pullbacks, push passing, instep kicking, stealing and protecting and then all basic moves associated with protecting the ball (such as turning your ack to an opponent etc...). We have also taken time to get to know one another, learn the rules, procedures and grading in the gym and have started talks about sportsmanship!!!
